Help

The common cases first — they cover most of what people write in about.

Never send anyone your account number (16 characters in groups of four) or an activation code. They are passwords: whoever has them controls the subscription. In the chat below they are stripped out of your text before the assistant ever sees it. Support only needs the six-character account ref, which the app shows beside the subscription.

It does not connect right after I enter the code

That is expected for the first few minutes: the code has to travel through the entitlement system to the exit nodes. Usually three or four minutes. If it has been more than fifteen, ask in the chat and give your account ref.

It does not connect on the first try

The first attempt can go nowhere if the network was switching at that moment (Wi-Fi ↔ mobile). The app retries by itself; the connection usually comes up within seconds.

If it never comes up, open the country picker and try another one: different networks block different addresses.

"No free slots"

A slot is held by every device that has ever connected, and by every activation code that has not been used. A slot is freed with "Remove this device" in the app — on the device you are removing.

If the device is already wiped or lost it cannot free its own slot: its key is still on the list. Write in the chat and give your account ref.

Russian sites do not open while the tunnel is on

Expected: large Russian services restrict access from the datacenter addresses where exit nodes live.

On Android: main screen → “Apps outside the tunnel” → tick the app. The change takes effect when the tunnel reconnects, which happens by itself when you leave that screen.

If “Block connections without VPN” is on in the system VPN settings, the apps you chose will have no network at all: in that mode Android lets nothing around the tunnel. For exclusions to work you will have to turn it off — and then, if the tunnel drops, the rest of your traffic may go out directly for a few seconds. Choose what matters more to you.

Windows has no exclusions yet: turn the tunnel off while you use those services.

It is slow

Try another server and another transport (in the app: Auto / QUIC / REALITY). On networks that throttle UDP, QUIC does worse than TCP+TLS; sometimes it is the other way round.
